Going Gaga ... the singer lifts up her hair to reveal her dramatic do
LADY Gaga has shaved her head in a tribute to the late mum of a closephotographer friend.
The singer revealed the dramatic new do in a twitpic posted last night.
In a message to her 29million followers, Gaga explained she had it done for close pal Terry Richardson, whose mum Annie Lomax died yesterday at the age of 74.
She also included a reference to her most recent song, Princess D.I.E - which she wrote in tribute to the late Princess Diana.

She tweeted: "I did it for u Terry. I'm sorry about ure mommy. She has princess die, but were all princess high."
Gaga then showed she hadn't cut all her hair off - tweeting a pic of her face, with the message: "But we still have glamour in the front."
Terry is a celebrated snapper famous for taking raunchy pics of some of the world's most famous ladies including Kate Moss, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Upton.

Gaga didn't explain the meaning behind the hair tribute - but she and Terry have been close friends for years.
Last year they collaborated on book of photos taken behind the scenes on her Monster Ball Tour, titled Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson.
The fellow New Yorker charted his mum's final moments in a moving blog, posting pictures of him comforting her in a hospital bed, followed by the sad announcement yesterday: "R.I.P. Annie Lomax, My Mom 1938-2012."
